******NIGHT LIFE******
Eleuthera has no Casinos on the island, nor do Cruise ships dock on its shores. So if the partying night life is what you crave, Eleuthera may not be for you.
Although, Eleuthera does have a few ways to kick up your heals.
******GOVERNORS HARBOUR FISH FRY******
Every Friday night in Governors Harbour there is a local Fish fry. The natives fry up the catch of the day along with BBQ chops, ribs and chicken. A bar is set up and there is plenty of dancing in the street. The locals also whip up a mean Rum Bubba Punch that you can try if you dare. Don’t forget to sample the fresh conk salad that is prepared right before your eyes.
******ELVINAS******
Another Hot Spot located in Gregory Town, just a short hop from the BANANA VIEW, is ELVINAS, where the proprietors Elvina and her husband Chicken Ed are the perfect host.
A casual meeting place where on Tuesday and Friday nights musicians from all over the world meet and jam the night away. Lenny Kravitz who owns a home on Eleuthera has even banged on a few drums in this rhythm filled bar.
Elvinas is a wonderful island experience that you surely don’t want to miss.
******ISLAND BBQ******
On Saturday afternoons on Queens Highway just as you come in to James Cistern is the town BBQ. If you happen to be driving by, stop in and experience some authentic island cuisine. The locals offer reasonably priced fish, BBQ chicken and ribs. Don’t forget to sample the peas and rice and the wonderful spicy macaroni and cheese.
******HATCHET BAY CAVES******
Just a few short miles south of the BANANA VIEW, (you will see the sign on the west side of Queens Highway), are the Hatchet bay caves. The cave is a mile long adorning numerous stalactites and stalagmites. (Because of the darkness a flash light and a cave guide are recommended.)
******THE GLASS WINDOW BRIDGE******
A must for every one to see!!! Just North of Gregory Town is the narrowest part of the island where the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea meet. SIMPLY BREATHTAKING!!!!.
******WATER'S EDGE INTERNET CAFE******
Need to check your e-mail or crav'en a good old hamburger & fries. Visit the 2 storey pink building by the sea in Hatchet Bay...
Have a hamburger, a darn good drink, and access the internet..... Frank and Double Dee are at your service. Tell them Jewelz and Konk head Karl sent ya.
******DIVING AND SNORKELING******
DEVELS BACKBONE: has many wrecks both modern and ancient.
PLATAU: is loaded with coral and marine life
THE ARCH: is a 60 ft wide arch with deep slopes that house many large fish
ELEUTHERA TRAIN WRECK: is a wreck were a civil war train slid off a ship in a storm
BLUE HOLES: the Bahamas is the only known place in the world that houses these bottomless holes in the ocean floor

Whether it is bone, fly, or deep-sea fishing, Eleuthera has it all. There are many fishing and charter services available on the island.
